Hola,
Thanks for the reply!
I don't have T48G desk phones, so I can't try the above procedure myself.
My question was very general: with current touch screen smartphones or older cell phones with keyboards, you can select a plus sign by pressing and holding the 0 key.
This is now also possible with a W56H.
On a newer T29G, a long press of the 0 key still returns a digit 0, not a plus sign.
Also, a long press on button 1 does not dial the voicemail number as it would on a mobile phone.
Since Yealink phones are highly configurable and setting up a cordless phone is very similar to setting up a desk phone, I hope a setting will allow system administrators to borrow those cell phone-like user interactions. on desk phones, though I'd rather have "proudly" claimed "Legacy" on the keyboard layout.
With a T48G, how many actions does it take to tick a plus sign?

Ok, now I see what you meant: thanks for taking the time to include links.
Basically, there is currently no way to just dial +123456789.
I can't say it's strange, since most desk phones I look at (Cisco, Digium, Aastra,...) don't have a + on the 0 key either.
Am I the one who thinks phones should have this signal?
I would also be very interested to know what the downside of such a feature would be.

Please let me try to explain...
I don't think there is a downside to this feature, but where do you plan to use it?
Mobile phones only use the + sign for international calls.
The + sign stands for International Access Code and is standardized.
With VoIP, you (almost) never have to prepend the + sign when dialing a number. (national or international)
Example:
Here in Holland (The Netherlands) if we want to make an international call, for example to Belgium, we have to dial +32<number> or 0032<number>, if we want to make a call to Great Britain we have to dial +44 <number> or 0044<number> etc.
Therefore, the plus sign "+" indicates that international calls use the international access code.

Yes, everything you said is correct, but since I require users to dial a leading 0 for an external number, international numbers require 3 leading zeros (0 00 32 12345678, for a Belgian number).
I think dialing +32 12345678 feels more natural for most of them now and fits with the amount of phone numbers printed these days.
